About GlampTrail HQ

GlampTrail HQ is a directory of camping and glamping stays across the United States. Every stay on the site is sourced from open public datasets, principally OpenStreetMap and federal recreation data.

We started GlampTrail HQ because finding "glamping sites near me" usually means wading through ad-cluttered marketplaces that bury the actual character of the property.

How the directory works

Every listing on GlampTrail HQ belongs to both a U.S. state page and a U.S. region page. The region pages are organized the way travelers actually plan trips — Pacific Northwest if you want old-growth temperate rainforest and coastal fog, Rocky Mountains for alpine treelines, Southwest Desert for red rock and dark skies, Southeast for warm-water shorelines and longleaf pine, Midwest for the Great Lakes and prairie hardwoods, Northeast for the Adirondacks, the Berkshires, and the Maine coast.

Publishing standards

We publish only stays we can verify exist in public registries. We do not accept payment for inclusion, and we do not let operators write their own copy. GlampTrail HQ lists the name and location of each stay as recorded in OpenStreetMap. Estimated prices, amenities and descriptions were removed on 2026-09-12 because they had no source. Stay-type classification was removed on 2026-09-12 after a review found it could not be traced to a source.

Stay-type and region photography on this site consists of AI-generated topical illustrations that evoke each category — they are not photographs of any specific listed property. Questions or corrections: see our contact page.

Contact and corrections

If something is wrong, missing, or out of date, we want to know — email hello@glamptrailhq.com. Operators are welcome to send corrections, photos, and updated booking links; we'll incorporate verified updates into the next data refresh.
